News :-

Due to funding (or lack of) we've not been competing very much this season. Instead we've been getting to practice and trackdays eegerly testing our new bike, hoping to come back much much faster and battle with the front runners next season.

The New Bike:

Adam: "Its fantastic, the guys at Phoenix tinkered with the suspention after a testday at Brands saw me shred the exsisting tyres and only putting in mid 50's laptimes" (same as last years race pace) "and now it feels even more awesome!".

"Weve still got a majour problem with the compression though. It should be putting out around 117.5bhp. Instead we've only got 104 horses, which is probably the same or less than a standard engine!".

"Im really happy with it though. I've worked my a** off over the winter, trying to save for a better bike and ive got what is potentially a championship winning bike. I'll put in more than respectable laptimes as it is, and still be competitive with the Novice Championship. But i want to be up there with the likes of Dicko and Oddy. For that we really need to get the power back, and for me to get more practice".

Oulton Park

Oulton saw us deliver a fairly respectable sub 2 minute race pace, dispite the fact we've never ridden there before.

We finished 6th and 7th (Novice) which isnt great, but much better than some. Now that were getting a nice steady supply of fresh tyres from Phoenix Motorcycles Adam's really feeling much more confident.

Two Wheeled Drift! -

Adam : "Oulton was a funny track for me. I loved it, but i was so inconsistent. Some parts of the track i absolutely nailed, others i ruined all the hard work and distance i managed to put between me and the guy behind".

"A fantastic moment for me was the time i was absolutely caining it after this chap in front of me - i cant remember his number, but it was a yellow R6, he knows who he is! At the end of the race he looked round and gave a big thumbs up and a massive smile in his helmet as if to say - That was awesome racing!!!

Anyway, i think it was around Druids - its quite bumpy there when your going fast! My knee was dragging on the floor, i was gaining, knowing id have to get good drive and hit the second apex spot on to get enough speed to 'do him' on the inside on the 2nd to last corner.
I slammed this bike into the corner, the tyres felt good but the suspention then started to scramble to follow the bumps and maintain grip, my knee hit the deck, onlooked did the spectators and then ever so smoothly both wheels just started to slide - it was amazing!

I didnt flinch or move a muscle, i just held it, it felt like it lasted a lifetime! In actual fact it probably only drifted a few inches, but to me, at the time, it was a victory in its own right!"
.

"I'd fallen off alot last year - or what felt like it. After my winter off, with my determination to come back swinging, to not panic where most would have and to stay focused and aggressive when it looked as though it was the end of the race was such a boost for me. I feel invincible again! - a trait ive been warned about where motorcyclists are involved".

Its obvious that our passion for racing wasnt diluted by last years results and has in fact made us more determined to improve and deserve those trophies - aswell as just winning them - more than ever. Now we have the tools (we just need to get repaired a little) we want to make our mark in the racing world.
